This theoretical research proposal begins with analysing the concept of Body Schema suggested by Merleau-Ponty, understanding how one inhabits the world through their body. By connecting abstract movements to performance art, this proposal thus wonders, could one's body movement make marks in the space like composing poems on paper? After discussing and experimenting with two contemporary dance dancers, a 15-minute performance was our answer (at that moment) to that question.
